There is so much more to family photoshoots than just taking photos.
It’s about the experience and creating memories. Making both intangible memories at the moment and creating physical memories in the form of a beautiful album or canvas to reflect on for a lifetime.
I started taking photos of my kids when they were just little babies. I didn’t have a fancy camera for the longest time. I just knew I had to capture these special moments in any way I could (and I have a lot of disposable films to show for that!). Once I realized how important documenting these memories was, I knew that I wanted to get a better camera and learn how to take better photos.
It’s been a fun and exciting journey over the years watching my little ones grow up and seeing my clients and their families grow with me and being able to take so many wonderful photos along the way! There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t reflect on these. I am thankful I have been able to freeze these moments in time, and I know my clients feel the same.
When I do a family photoshoot, especially with kids, it always brings me back to those early days. I know how special and important these photos and experiences are and it makes me overjoyed that I can be the one to help create these cherished moments.
